Client tools
Five client tools that save time and are easy to overlook: the minimap with its marks and coordinate search, Browse Drops tells you which Pokémon drop an item, Find Items points to the bag where you have it, Mail keeps the PokeAlliance Team's messages and rewards, and Auto Combo fires your moves in the order you choose.
Minimap and full map
The minimap sits in the right panel. You open and close it with the Minimap button in the top menu or with Ctrl+M, and the full map opens with Ctrl+Tab. If you cannot see the top menu, move the mouse to the top centre of the screen: the button to open it appears.
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Walk to a spot | Left-click that spot on the minimap. |
| Move around the map | Hold the left mouse button and drag, or use Alt + arrow keys. |
| Zoom in or out | Mouse wheel. |
| Create a mark | Right-click the spot → «Create mark». |
| Full map | Ctrl+Tab («Full Map» action in Hotkeys); Esc closes it. |
| Delete a mark | Right-click the mark → «Delete mark». |
Marks
Picking «Create mark» opens «Create Map Mark»: you see the spot's coordinate in Position, write a note in Description, pick an icon in Icon and press «Create Mark» (or «Cancel»). The mark stays on your map so you can find that spot again.
Going to a coordinate
Press the magnifying glass on the minimap bar. «Search Coordinates» opens.
Type the coordinate as x, y, z, for example 3298, 2333, 7. If the format is right, the window confirms it in green.
Tick «Create a flag at this spot» if you want to leave a mark there, and press «Confirm»: the minimap centres on that spot.
Browse Drops: who drops an item
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) the item, for example in your bag, and pick «Browse Drops». The option only shows on items you can pick up, not on fixed map objects.
The Item Drops window opens, listing every creature that drops it.
For each creature you see its sprite (hover for its name) and how many it drops each time, as (min - max). Open in PokeDex opens its entry in the in-game Pokédex, and Copy item name copies the item’s name.
Example: in the Item Drops window for rubber ball, Ditto shows (2 - 4): every time a Ditto drops it, you get 2 to 4 of them.
Note: Item Drops does not show drop chances. If the item is not in any creature’s normal loot, the window tells you so. The chance, when known, is on each item’s page: look it up in Items.
Find Items: where you keep an item
Right-click an item inside a bag and choose «Find Items». The Item Locator window opens.
Type the name of what you are looking for. About 2 seconds later the results appear, with icon, name and amount.
Click a result: the game opens the bag it is in and an arrow points at the item for a few seconds.
Mail: messages and rewards
Click Mail in the top menu. The Mailbox opens with messages from the PokeAlliance Team.
Open a message: you see the date, how many days it has left before it expires («Expires in 3d» means 3 days), a banner and the text.
If it comes with items, click Claim to collect them.
Messages you have not claimed yet come first, then unread ones, then the rest, newest first.
A message with a reward stays marked as unread until you claim the reward.
The Mailbox is receive-only: you cannot write or send messages.
Auto Combo
Auto Combo fires several of your Pokémon’s moves in a row, in the order you choose. There are two ways to use it.
With the command
Type !autocombo followed by the moves in the order you want, separated by commas. Each move is an m followed by its slot on the bar: !autocombo m4,m1,m2 uses move 4 first, then 1, then 2.
With a saved combo
Right-click the Pokémon’s move bar and choose «Open Auto Combo».
Drag moves from «Available Moves» to «Combo Moves». The list order is the order they are fired in: drag to reorder them and click one to remove it. Each move can only be added once, and passives are not listed.
Fire it with the Send AutoCombo button on the action bar, or by typing !autocombo with nothing after it.
To fire it with a key, bind one in Hotkeys to the «Action Bar AutoCombo» action, which has none by default.
Note: the combo is saved in the client settings on your PC, tied to the Pokémon’s name: if you play from another computer, it will not be there.
