Poké Expeditions
(PokéExpedition)
In Poké Expeditions you send a Pokémon on an expedition by spending Arcane Shards, the same ones used in Dungeons: while you play or stay offline, it explores and comes back with rewards. There are 4 slots, so you can run up to 4 expeditions at once.
How to send an expedition
Each expedition uses Arcane Shards. You get them from the daily Dungeon tasks and Shard Boxes, and you can buy them on the Market: it is all in Dungeons.
Step 1:
In the Poké Expeditions window, drag an Arcane Shard into a free slot («Put your Shard here»). If you drag a stack, you choose how many to use.
Step 2:
Drag in the Poké Ball of the Pokémon you want to send («Put your Pokémon here»).
Step 3:
Check how long it will take and, on the chest, the «Possible Rewards».
Step 4:
Press «START». The Shards are used up and the Ball stays in the expedition until it ends.
Step 5:
When the timer reaches 0, press «CLAIM» to collect the rewards and get the Ball back.
Note: While the expedition lasts, that Pokémon is not in your team, and the same Pokémon cannot go on two expeditions at once. Send Pokémon you do not use in your rotation.
How long it takes
| Shard difficulty | Time per Shard |
|---|---|
| Hard | 3 h |
| Medium | 1 h 30 min |
| Easy | 40 min |
Time adds up per Shard: 3 Medium Shards are 4 h 30 min of base time. The Pokémon you send then shortens or lengthens that time based on two things: its type against the Shard’s type, and its tier. With a type advantage and a high tier the expedition ends sooner; a poor pick can make it take much longer.
Every time you place a Poké Ball, the panel recalculates the final time. Try several before pressing «START» and keep the one with the shortest time. Each Pokémon’s tier is on the tier list.
Rewards
Each Shard makes its own reward roll: an expedition with 4 Shards rolls 4 times. More Shards means more time and more rewards.
The chest’s «Possible Rewards» are what can drop, not what you are sure to get.
When you press «CLAIM», compatible items go to the Loot Stash and the rest to your inventory; the Ball comes back to you and the slot is freed. Make room in your inventory before claiming.
Offline and cancelling
The expedition keeps going even if you close the game: you can come back once it has finished and claim the rewards.
Before it finishes you can press «CANCEL»: you get the Shards and the Ball back at no cost, but you lose the progress. Once the time is up, you can only claim.
