Duel
Duel is how you set up PvP fights: two teams, First Team and Second Team, where every player brings the same number of Pokémon, from 1 to 6. It can be a 1v1 or a group fight, and the team that leaves the other without Pokémon wins.
Setting up a duel
Press the Duel button in the top menu (the two Poké Balls icon), or right-click a player and pick «Duel with <name>». The «Duel» window opens, with your pending invites in the «Duel Invites» list.
Press «Create Duel». The «Duel Management» window opens: that is the duel room. Whoever creates it is the leader.
In «Number of Pokémon», choose how many Pokémon each player brings, 1 to 6 (6 by default).
Press «Invite». In the «Invite Player» window, type the player's name in «Player Name» and press «Invite». Repeat for each player.
Split the players between First Team and Second Team with each player's «Switch Team» button.
When everyone meets the requirements (below), press «Start».
Invites and leader
Invited players see the invite in the «Duel Invites» list of their «Duel» window: «Accept Duel» joins the room and «Reject Duel» declines it. They can also right-click the leader and pick «Accept duel of <name>».
Only the leader arranges the teams, removes players («Kick Player»), withdraws invites («Cancel Invite») and starts or cancels the duel.
Until the duel starts, the other players can leave with «Leave».
Requirements to start
For the leader to be able to press «Start», every player must:
be near the leader;
be in an area that allows duels, outside Protection Zone;
carry as many Poké Balls with eligible Pokémon as «Number of Pokémon» says;
have all their Pokémon inside their Poké Balls.
Each team also needs at least one player.
During the duel
The fight starts after a countdown. When one of your Pokémon falls, you have 60 seconds to send out the next one; if you do not, you can lose the ones you have left. The duel ends when one of the two teams runs out of available Pokémon.
Example: a 2v2 duel with «Number of Pokémon» set to 3. Each player goes in with 3 Pokémon, so each team has 6. The first team to defeat all 6 of the other team's Pokémon wins.
Note: if the leader leaves or disconnects, the duel can end.
