Hunts
Hunts are the areas where you hunt Pokémon to level up, get loot and look for Shinies. There are three kinds of zone (Common, Wildscape and Primal), each one for a higher level than the one before. The game’s Hunt Finder tells you which ones suit your level and guides you to the entrance.
Common, Wildscape and Primal
Common
The regular hunts. In the Hunt Finder they go from level 1 to 150. Their Shinies are never Ultra Rare, Legendary or Mythic.
Wildscape
Hunts split into channels (several copies of the same zone), marked with a skull on the minimap. They give no XP until level 150, and the Hunt Finder recommends them for level 150 to 350. They have their own Shinies, but none of them are Ultra Rare, Legendary or Mythic.
Primal
From level 350 (the Hunt Finder recommends them for 350 to 600). They are the only place where Ultra Rare, Legendary and Mythic Shinies appear naturally, and each Primal area has its own species. They are meant to be played with your full Pokémon rotation: the only revive that works there is the Technological Revive (see below).
For example, Shiny Gengar is Legendary: it never shows up in the Gengar Wildscape hunt, even though the regular Gengar does. To hunt it, you have to go to the Gengar Primal hunt.
The game does not always use the same name for the Common zone: the Hunt Finder calls it NORMAL, the Pokédex loot tab calls it Base, and the Pokédex map calls it Common. On that map, each spawn is colored by zone: red for Common, green for Wildscape and purple for Primal.
Note: Shiny bonuses do not change these rules: they raise the chance in areas where that Shiny can already appear, but they do not make a Legendary Shiny appear in a Common or Wildscape hunt. Each Shiny’s tier is on the tier list.
Revives in Primal
Your usual revives are no good in Primal hunts. The Revive only works up to level 219, and the Max Revive, the one for level 220 and up, is blocked in Primal. The only one that works there is the Technological Revive, so if a Pokémon faints and you have none, you carry on with the rest of your rotation.

Hunt Finder
Open the Hunt Finder with its button in the top menu.
Filter the list (table below) and sort it by Level, Name or Tier. The hunts for your level always come first, with a star.
Pick a hunt. Each row shows up to 3 of its Pokémon with their types, up to 4 RECOMMENDED Pokémon (the ones the game suggests bringing), the zone, «Lv. X-Y» and the tier.
Press «Show Enter Place» to see where the entrance is, or «Track Enter Place» to have an arrow lead you there.
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| SEARCH | Searches by name. |
| LEVEL RANGE | You type a minimum and a maximum level, and you get the hunts whose level range overlaps yours. With 140 and 160, for example, you get the Magneton Common hunt (50–150) and every Wildscape hunt (150–350). |
| POKÉMON USED | You type your Pokémon and you get the hunts where it is recommended or where one of its types is super effective against the hunt’s Pokémon. |
| TARGET ELEMENT | Shows the hunts with any Pokémon of that type. |
| SHINY TIER | Filters by the tier of the species’ Shiny: T1 to T7, Super Rare, Ultra Rare, Legendary or Mythic. |
| ZONE | Three buttons (NORMAL, WILDSCAPE and PRIMAL), each toggled on and off separately. All three are on when you open the window. |
| CONTINENT | All, Kanto, Johto or Hoenn. |
| Reset filters | Clears every filter. |
Note: Hunts your character cannot access yet are grayed out: you can see their entrance with «Show Enter Place», but you cannot track it.
Getting to the entrance
«Show Enter Place» closes the window and shows you the entrance tile on screen.
«Track Enter Place» puts an arrow around your character pointing at the entrance: green if it is on your floor, red if it is on a floor below and blue if it is on a floor above.
Within 7 tiles and on the same floor, the arrow becomes a vertical arrow right above the entrance. Tracking turns itself off 10 seconds after you arrive.
You can only track one hunt at a time. Tracking keeps going with the window closed, and stops with «Stop Tracking» or when you log out.
Hunts with channels
Wildscape hunts and some starter areas have channels: the same zone has several copies (instances) and you pick which one to join. When you go in, the Instance Entry window opens:
At the top you see the area’s Pokémon («CREATURE IN THIS AREA») and its «Recommended level».
«Available Instances» lists each instance with its number of players. Pick one and press «Enter».
If you expand an instance, you see who is inside and how long each of them has been idle: the ones who did something in the last 30 seconds show in green. Click a name to send them a private message.
On the minimap, the doors of these areas show the area’s Pokémon and an icon: a skull for Wildscape and a sprout for starter areas. You can show or hide them with «Show Instance Hunts» in the minimap legend.
Hunt list
The Hunt Finder has 184 hunts: 12 Common, 133 Wildscape and 39 Primal. For each one you see its Pokémon, its level and its Shiny tier; for some, also the Pokémon the game recommends bringing.

There are 12 Common hunts, from level 1 to 150.

Wildscape (133)
All 133 Wildscape hunts are level 150–350. The table shows the tier of each species’ Shiny. If it is Ultra Rare, Legendary or Mythic, that Shiny never appears in Wildscape: look for it in the species’ Primal hunt (Alakazam, Dragonair, Dragonite, Electabuzz, Gengar, Gyarados, Magmar, Scizor, Snorlax and Tyranitar have one).
