Houses
A House is your own home in a town: you decorate it with furniture and can set up a Punching Bag to train your Pokémon. Houses are not bought from an NPC: you win them at an auction, bidding from their door, and then pay rent every month.
Requirements to bid
To bid on a House you must:
be level 200 or higher;
have VIP;
not already own a House on that account in that world (only one is allowed);
not already be leading another House's auction: you can only lead one at a time, and you cannot bid on another until someone outbids you;
have the full amount of your bid in the bank.
Finding a free House
Open the full map (Ctrl+Tab): Houses without an owner show a green house icon, and hovering it shows the House's name. Once a House gets an owner, its icon disappears. You can hide these icons with the «Show House Icons» option in the map legend.
To see a House's details, use its door or Look at it: the House panel opens, and you bid from there. There is no chat command to bid.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Owner | The owner, or «Nobody» if there is none. |
| Town | The town. |
| Size | The size in map tiles, as «N tiles» (1 tile = 1 SQM). |
| Price | The starting price of the auction. |
| Status | Not started, In progress or Ended, with a countdown: until it starts, until it ends or, once it has ended, until the next closing time. |
| Current bid | The current bid, the one everyone sees. |
| Your bid limit | Your bid limit, if you are in the lead. Only you can see it. |
How to bid
When you bid, you do not type what you will pay but your limit: the most you are willing to pay. Nobody else sees that limit, and the system bids for you only as much as it takes to keep you first.
Use the House's door (or Look at it) to open its panel.
Check that the auction is «In progress»: otherwise the «Bid» button does not work.
Press «Bid». In the «Place Bid» window, type your limit: equal to or above the «Minimum bid» it shows.
Press «Confirm». If you take the lead, «Your bid limit» shows your limit and it is held from your bank.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | The current bid is at 100,000 Pokédollars. |
| 2 | You bid with a limit of 200,000 Pokédollars and take the lead. |
| 3 | Another player bids 150,000 Pokédollars. Since your limit is higher, you stay first, and the bid everyone sees only goes up as much as needed to beat them: one Pokédollar more than theirs. |
| 4 | Nobody else bids: the House is yours for 150,000 Pokédollars plus one Pokédollar, and what is left of your limit (almost 50,000 Pokédollars) goes back to your Depot. |
Note: if two limits tie, whoever bid first wins.
Held money and refunds
When you take the lead, your full limit is held from your bank.
If you raise your limit, only the difference is held.
If someone outbids you, the held money is refunded in full to your Pokémon Center Depot, and you can bid on another House.
If your bid is beaten instantly, the leader already had an equal or higher limit. In that case nothing is held from you.
If you win, you pay the final bid and the rest of your limit goes back to the Depot.
If you were offline, win, loss and refund notices reach you when you log back in.
Duration and schedule
The auction lasts 3 days, or 6 if the House is larger than 600 SQM.
When the countdown ends, bidding stops, but the House is not handed over that same minute: auctions close 8 times a day, at fixed server times, and the House goes to whoever is leading at the next closing time.
If nobody bids, the auction starts over.
Closing times (server time):
- 02:00
- 05:00
- 08:00
- 11:00
- 14:00
- 17:00
- 20:00
- 23:00
Example: if the panel countdown ends at 15:20 server time, the House is handed over at the 17:00 closing.
Rent
Once you win the auction, rent is charged every month from your bank balance, and you have to keep your VIP. When you log in, a notice reminds you of the rent day, and the !houseinfo command tells you how much it is and when the next payment is due.
Note: if you lose your VIP or there is not enough balance for the rent, you can lose the House, and its items go to the Depot.
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| !houseinfo | Shows the name of your House, the rent and the date of the next payment. |
| !invite | Opens the guest list. |
| !viceowner | Opens the vice-owner list. |
| !door | Opens the access list of the door in front of you. |
| !kick Name | Kicks that player out of the House; they must be online and inside. |
These lists can only be edited from inside the House, with the matching permission.
Leaving or selling
The owner finds both options in their House panel.
«Leave house»: giving it up
Press «Leave house» and confirm with «Yes» at «Are you sure you want to leave this house?».
All the House's items go to the Depot.
The House is left without an owner and goes back up for auction at the next closing time.
«Sell house»: selling it to another player
Press «Sell house». In the «Sell House» window, type the buyer's name in «Buyer name» and press «Confirm».
You have to be inside your House, with the buyer nearby.
The buyer needs level 200, VIP and no other House.
Payment and handover are confirmed in the trade window.
Furniture and decoration
Furniture is bought from the NPC Jully, at the entrance of the Trade Center: say «hi» and then «trade». She sells chairs, tables, sofas, plants, appliances, game consoles, backpacks and the TV Camera, used for TV Cam. You can only place furniture where your character has permission.
To take a piece of furniture out of the House, use a Package Kit on it (1,000 Pokédollars, also from Jully): it packs it up so you can take it with you. It only works on compatible furniture.
The Builder Kit (20 Diamonds, in the Houses category of the Diamond Store) opens the Home Customization window, where you change the House floor and preview it first (Current Floor, New Floor, Preview on House). It can only be used once.
Using the beds of a House requires VIP.
The Punching Bag bought for the House trains up to 4 Pokémon at once (details in Punching Bag).
